// THE FINE PRINT

This Privacy Policy describes how Plus Ultra Labs LLC ("Plus Ultra Labs," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you visit plusultralabs.co (the "Site") or contact us by email.

We have intentionally designed the Site to collect as little information about you as possible. We do not use analytics platforms, advertising pixels, third-party trackers, or cookies on the Site. The information described below is the limited information we receive when you visit the Site or contact us directly.

If you have questions about this Policy, please contact us using the information in Section 12.

// 01Introduction

This Policy applies to your interactions with the Site and to inquiries you send us by email. It does not apply to information we receive in connection with a signed engagement, which is governed by the terms of that engagement.

// 02Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide. When you contact us by email at hello@plusultralabs.co or through any contact form on the Site, we collect the information you choose to provide, which may include your name, email address, company name, role, and the contents of your message and any attachments.

2.2 Server Log Information. When you access the Site, our hosting provider automatically receives certain information transmitted by your browser, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referring page, the pages visited on the Site, and the date and time of your visit. We use this information to operate, maintain, and secure the Site and to detect and prevent misuse.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect. We do not use cookies, browser fingerprinting, advertising or social media pixels, third-party analytics services, session-replay tools, or other tracking technologies on the Site. We do not collect or process "sensitive personal information" as that term is defined under California law for the purposes of inferring characteristics about you. We do not use information collected through the Site to train any machine-learning or artificial-intelligence model.

// 03How We Use Information

We use the information described in Section 2 to:

  • respond to your inquiries and communicate with you about potential or existing engagements;
  • operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site;
  • detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, security incidents, and other unlawful activity;
  • comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, and to enforce our agreements and protect our rights.

We do not use the information described in Section 2 for advertising, marketing, profiling, or behavioral targeting, and we do not sell, rent, or trade it.

// 04How We Share Information

4.1 Service Providers. We share limited information with third parties that provide services to us, such as our website hosting provider, our email service provider (Google Workspace), our domain registrar, and our accounting and legal advisors. These service providers are authorized to use your information only as necessary to provide services to us and are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

4.2 Legal Requirements. We may disclose information if we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Plus Ultra Labs, our clients, our personnel, or others.

4.3 Business Transfers. If Plus Ultra Labs is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to standard confidentiality protections and to the terms of this Policy.

We do not sell personal information for monetary or other valuable consideration, and we do not "share" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA").

// 05Your Privacy Rights

5.1 California Residents. If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA, subject to the exceptions provided in the statute:

  • the right to know what categories of personal information we have collected, the categories of sources, the business or commercial purposes for collecting it, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it;
  • the right to access the specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you;
  • the right to delete personal information we have collected from you;
  • the right to correct inaccurate personal information we maintain about you;
  • the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (Plus Ultra Labs does not sell or share personal information);
  • the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information (we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right);
  • the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising any of the foregoing rights.

5.2 Other U.S. State Residents. If you reside in a U.S. state with a comprehensive consumer privacy law (which currently includes, among others, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, Iowa, Tennessee, Indiana, Delaware, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, and Rhode Island), you may have rights under your state's law that are similar to those described in Section 5.1, including rights to access, delete, correct, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and the right to appeal certain decisions we make regarding your request. We will honor verifiable requests in accordance with applicable law.

5.3 European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland. If you are located in the EEA, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, you may have rights under the General Data Protection Regulation, the UK GDPR, or comparable laws to access, rectify, erase, restrict, port, or object to the processing of your personal data, to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. The legal bases on which we process personal data are: (a) your consent, where applicable; (b) the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures taken at your request; (c) compliance with a legal obligation; and (d) our legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the Site, where those interests are not overridden by your rights and freedoms.

5.4 How to Exercise Your Rights. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@plusultralabs.co. We will verify your identity using the information you provide and will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your rights. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf, subject to our verification of the agent's authority and your identity.

// 06Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, comply with our legal and accounting obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When we no longer need the information, we will delete it or de-identify it in accordance with our retention schedule and applicable law.

// 07Information Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

// 08Children's Privacy

The Site is intended for individuals 18 years of age and older. We do not direct the Site to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or under 16, where applicable under foreign law). If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us and we will delete it.

// 09International Visitors

The Site is operated in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those of your country. By using the Site or contacting us, you consent to that transfer to the extent permitted by applicable law.

// 10Third-Party Links

The Site may contain links to third-party websites that are not operated by us. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those websites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing them with information.

// 11Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last Updated" date at the top of the Policy. If we make material changes, we will provide additional notice (for example, by posting a prominent notice on the Site or, where appropriate, by contacting you directly). Your continued use of the Site after the updated Policy takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
